Just wanted to throw this out, re: the Final Cut album cover, and the image of the soldier with the knife in his back. I don’t think it’s anything to do with Alan Parker and the film of the Wall (at least not explicitly); moreso, I think, the image has to do with “The Post War Dream” and, specifically at the time, Thatcherism. I think the political state of England during Thatcher’s terms, and pretty much today as well, can be looked at by many (R. Waters included) as a betrayal or sorts to what was intended, and built up, after the war. Also, see The Falkland Islands “War”.
